About Us
Kevin Murray & Michael Mitchell both worked for a major national access company and were all too familiar hearing the customer say to them:
"I wish we could just deal with just one point of contact for the whole of our scaffold requirements for this site and not being passed from one to another”
So February 1996 Castle Scaffold (Northern) Ltd launched with the sole intention of meeting the needs of our customers, dealing with their enquiry efficiently, negotiating the contract, carrying the contract out to completion, and all by the “same person” that took the initial enquiry.
Between them Kevin & Michael have almost 55 Years of experience within the scaffolding industry with experience on Petro chemical Pharmaceuticals, Pulp & Paper, Food manufacturing, as well as Utilities and Commercial sectors as well as Hire & Sale.
The company employs approx 26 personnel operating a fleet of modern  vehicles from within its central depot in Newcastle. Covering from Teeside up to the Scottish Borders and across to Cumbria.
The services of a Senior Design Engineer are retained who’s role looks after all the Temporary works Designs & calculation Requirements.
The Training is handled by Mr Dave Palmer who has over 20 years experience in the construction Industry and is an accredited C.l.T.B Trainer.
Castle Scaffold (Northern) Ltd carries Public Liability As well as Employers Liability Insurances with the LLoyds syndicate to a value of 10 million pounds.
